Networks and Cooperations

Networking science and practice

The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA pools its entire expertise in project groups, cooperations and networks.

The special skills and facilities of our project groups and field offices contribute towards the success of Fraunhofer IPA.

Our connection to university partners plays a particularly important role in supporting fundamental research and application-orientated development.

Fraunhofer IPA has also formed research partnerships with technically-related institutes to act jointly on the R&D market. In addition to this, we cooperate in Fraunhofer alliances so that we can engage in and market business segments in collaboration with other institutes from different disciplines.

The Stuttgarter Produktionsakademie, a cooperation between the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA and the University of Stuttgart, has been launched as an open further education platform for all aspects of industrial manufacturing. The goal of the Stuttgarter Produktionsakademie is to offer further education concepts aimed at target groups at all company hierarchical levels in order to unite science, research and practice under one roof.
