IIoT platforms: Selection and introduction in production
We support enterprises in mechanical and plant engineering with our wealth of domain knowledge in physical and digital products and services. Our focus is on selecting and introducing the right IIoT platform. The purpose of the project is to select and introduce the right IIoT platform in close collaboration with Fraunhofer IPA. The goal is to offer our customers the best possible options for investment in IIoT platforms.

Scope of services
The IIoT platform is selected and introduced in six phases:
- Development of the digitalization strategy: Development of a comprehensive strategy that defines individual approaches and relevant smart services.
- Use case analysis: Comparison of business goals with best-practice examples and identification of prioritized use cases.
- Requirements analysis: Detailed analysis in which functional and non-functional requirements for the IT architecture are derived.
- Gap analysis: Identification of potential challenges and documentation of current architecture.
- Development of solution scenarios: Development of appropriate solution scenarios, evaluation of providers and development of implementation proposals.
- Implementation and rollout: Implementation of IIoT platform and support for the rollout based on a detailed roadmap.
